When can I view the hall?

Please phone the Bookings Secretary to find out when she or our Caretaker will next be on site. You will still need to meet with our Bookings Secretary in person to book the hall, complete the hire form and pay the deposit.

Can I book your hall by phone for a party?

NO! Please phone the Bookings Secretary and she will tell you when she is next at the hall. We do not take confirmed bookings for private party hires by phone, email or text as we will require you to complete a booking form and pay your deposit for the date you require.

Is the hall open all day?

No! The hall is run by a team of volunteer trustees who all have full time jobs. The caretaker is usually only on site when a hire is arriving and departing.

Are the tables and chairs included in my hire?

Yes! There are approx. 12 large rectangular tables and a further 6 smaller ones in our side rooms. There are approx. 200 chairs

What size and shape are your tables?

Our larger tables are rectangular and measure 72 inches long by 30 inches wide and 28 inches tall

What is the capacity of the main hall for a party?

Our hall comfortably holds 100 for a sit down meal or 150 for a buffet style party/function

Can we use your kitchen facilities and what do they include?

Our kitchen facilities include a fridge freezer, ice machine, large oven, microwave, hot water dispenser and dishwasher and the kitchen cost is included within the hire prices.  Very limited crockery and cutlery is available. If you wish to cook at the hall you will need to bring your own baking sheets, pots, pans and utensils.

Can I bring my own food to the hall?

Yes!

Can I bring my own alcohol to the hall?

No. Our premises licence does not allow any alcohol whatsoever to be brought onto site for consumption by individuals. We can arrange a bar for you through a local publican for your party

Can I have a bouncy castle at the hall for a child's birthday party?

Yes. Bouncy castles are allowed in both the hall and our garden. You must ensure that the company you are hiring from has full Public Liability Insurance as the hall's insurance policy will not cover you. Private play equipment from your home or garden is not allowed. Please ensure you advise the Bookings Secretary when you make the booking that a bouncy castle hire company will be coming to site. There is a 12 foot maximum height restriction in the hall.

Please note that our garden is not enclosed. All small children should be supervised at all times as we are next to a road and car park

What bookings do you NOT accept?

We do not accept 16th, 18th or 21st birthday parties

We do not accept bookings for any functions for large group of teenagers such as end of year celebrations or Halloween parties

We accept party bookings for family events and children's birthday parties. If the Bookings Secretary is misled when booking the venue then the event will be cancelled either before it commences or during the course of the event and the deposit will be retained.
